The Toledo Egotist is an anonymously-run website featuring the best of the Toledo creative community. There are amazing things happening in the Glass City. We want to amplify the efforts of local creatives, promote innovation and collaboration in the arts, and ensure that our city's reputation is tied to its creativity.

Manifesto
Let there be no doubt about it, Toledo is a city fairly brimming over with the arts. In addition to the much-lauded and popular Toledo Museum of Art and Toledo Symphony, Toledo is home to art galleries, performance venues, independent presses and record labels, neighborhoods of heritage and culture, design collaboratives and competitions, filmmakers, poetry readings, group art studios and much more. Sure, the breadth and depth of the arts community at times escapes even Toledo residents. We endeavor to promote this city's artsiness and to chronicle as much of its creative character as
possible.

It's one of the truisms of Toledo that you can make anything happen here, but you have to do it yourself. Let's keep up the momentum and see what awesome things the future has in store for Toledo.

Hey Toledo! We say "talk," you say "walk!" There is a shift in perception that is in progress about Toledo and its vibrant creative community. But that's not all we need. For as many bustling art openings as we've been to in the past five years, we know as many artists and galleries that are struggling to make ends meet. If you believe in supporting the arts, why not tell those creative people making things happen by adding to your art collection? Purchase season tickets, become a member, support your creative community with your time and money. Use a local creative agency for your campaigns, hire a Toledo songwriter for your jingle. Support the creative folks who contribute their ideas and efforts to increase Toledo's quality of life. Sure, you buy the idea of Toledo's creative community. Why not buy into it, as well.
